Here as you can see this is my new blog. I have called my blog Oliver's IT blog (mr southworth) as it is relevant to the work i am doing. The new blog button in the top corner allows you to create a new blog. After you have done that it will allow you to name your blog and make the weblink to your blogger page. Choose the layout and design of your blog and then press create and your blog is created.You can see below that i am following blogs below and i am following Mr southworth's blog so i can see the work he puts on it.

Questionnaire
Talk to employers as to the expectations that the company has on them to understand different practices and their job roles.

1. What company do you work for?

2. What is your job title and what are your responsibilities?
Data Development Manager. My responsibilities include managing the database management team, the laser print department and supporting the data facilities sales team.
3. Do you need any leadership skills within your job?
Yes management skills are needed plus I need to set an example on the work ethic of the company for the employees.
4. Do you pick your own hours within work? What hours do you work?
To some extent my start /finish times are flexible. 35 hours a week.
5. How do you solve problems within your company?
I consult other managers and/ or directors about problems as well as with the teams I manage. I also use my experience on the job to find solutions.
6. How is your attendance recorded within the company? If your attendance slips what might happen?
I clock on and off via a time and attendance system. If my attendance slips then I qualify for an attendance interview to discuss this with my manager.
7. How do you keep yourself motivated within your company?
By working hard and channelling my efforts into the present and future prosperity of the company. I try and imagine that the company is mine in the same way.
8. Do you work independently within your company or are you part of a group?
Both, but mainly within a team.
9. How do you manage your time within working hours?
I use time management techniques to prioritise and schedule my work load. My on the job experience aids in this planning.
10. Are you respected within you company by fellow colleagues?
Yes. My age and experience help to this end.
11. What is the preferred communication used within your company and what is your preferred choice of communication?
Preferred communication tool within the company is email because one doesn’t have to get out of one’s chair. My personal preferred communication is verbal communication.
12. Can you be relied on to do big jobs for the company you work for? If so what jobs?
Yes and I haven’t been sacked yet so I trust myself more with each passing year. I complete jobs each week that carry the future of the company in their successful completion.
13. Before doing jobs do you plan how you are going to structure and do the job?
I will always consult my colleagues about any new jobs we undertake. I like everyone in the team to know about and contribute to a job’s structure and completion.
14. Are there any health and Safety precautions taken in your work?
Yes. A lot. The hardest part of H&S is getting employees to follow the guidelines laid out by health and safety for their own protection.
15. Does your organisation have procedures? Do you always follow by those procedures?
Part of my role is setting up and maintaining procedures within the company’s production systems. I always follow procedure unless told not to by my boss.
16. Are there any rules that you have to stick by? (e.g. data protection act)
Yes we have to adhere to various governing bodies and ombudsmen - one of which is the data protection act.

Leadership skills are found within the classroom and also as year 7 football manager this requires leadership.

My contract requires me to work between 8:30- 3:30

Co0ntact my director of learning (Mr Southworth) or my line manager (Mrs Edmunds) or if bigger problem occurs I can contact union rep (Mr Whybrow).

I currently have 100% attendance and do not intend on letting it slip.

Setting small, realistic and measurable targets that I can achieve and monitor on a weekly basis.

Prioritise tasks in order of importance e.g. most important done first.

Within department it is verbal (face to face) but company is email which is effective.

Yes- achieve high and expected target grades for students.
